Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what [Nova / legal entity name] ("Nova," "we," "us") collects when you use the Nova astrology service over iMessage/SMS (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. Nova is for adults (18+).
1. Information we collect
- Your phone number — so we can text with you and identify your account.
- Birth details you provide — your name, birth date, birth time (if known), and birthplace. We convert your birthplace to approximate coordinates and a timezone to compute your astrological chart.
- Your messages — the content of your conversations with Nova, which we store to provide the Service, and a memory of key details you share so readings can reference your life over time.
- Preferences & consent — things like your daily-reading time, timezone, and your messaging/marketing consent status.
- Subscription & payment info — your subscription status and billing handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers; payment details go directly to Stripe.
- Basic technical/usage data — limited logs needed to operate, secure, and debug the Service.
2. How we use it
We use your information to compute your chart; generate and deliver readings, daily messages, and replies; remember relevant context so the Service feels personal; process subscriptions; provide support; keep the Service secure; and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers we share with
To run the Service we share the minimum necessary data with vendors who process it on our behalf, including:
- our messaging provider, to send and receive your texts;
- our AI provider (Anthropic / Claude), to generate readings from your chart and conversation;
- our memory/search and embedding providers, to store and retrieve the context that personalizes your readings;
- a geocoding provider, to turn your birthplace into coordinates/timezone;
- our payment processor (Stripe), to handle billing;
- our hosting/infrastructure providers.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it longer for legal, security, or financial-record reasons.
You can ask us to delete your data. Email hello@nova.example.com and we will delete your account data, including your stored conversation memory. Texting STOP opts you out of messages but does not by itself delete your data.
5. Your choices & rights
You can reply STOP at any time to stop messages and HELP for help. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We won't discriminate against you for exercising them.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
